Scam Alert 2010-03-01We have recently received several calls and emails in reference to a mailing scam apparently based in Nova Scotia using the Holden Financial Services name. The scam indicates that the recipient is a winner of an "International Sweepstakes Draw" and may include a prize check. These prize letters have been received by people in Missouri, California and Florida. If you are the recipient of such a letter, the Attorney General's office suggests you write "Scam and Fraud" on the envelope, and return it to your local Post Office, who will forward it to the appropriate office for further investigation. |
